Amiel has been obsessed with creating things and even more so with creating things better. He has been in the business of creating since he started drawing a bunch of shapes and lines on a Windows Paint program when he was five. After graduating high school, his interest in making things grew even more by being actively involved in designing a web at Lethbridge College, where he earned a Computer Information Technology Diploma. He has developed a small business website and has created several web design concepts for non-profit organizations and corporations. His specialty is front-end web development and design. His passion for this specialty urged him to pursue a degree in New Media at the University of Lethbridge to make pixel magic in Illustrator or Photoshop and turn it into good-looking, semantic HTML and CSS. Since then, his interests evolved even beyond the web. And he started to develop more designing skills, ranging from logo designing to creating professional-level motion graphics.

Artist Statement
I often visit a lot of websites every day, which is my escape from reality. Every time I scroll, animations moving in different directions, vivid colors that are visually enticing, patterns formed with different shapes and sizes, and stunning art designs help me free from my everyday problems and worries. Further, these are the elements that I work with when it comes to graphic and web design.
The works of the artist, graphic designer, illustrator, and typographer Alex Trochut caught my interest in terms of my love for media arts and designs. His expressive visual styles inspire me to create more things designed in explicit and highly detailed that produce clean images. Attention to detail is something that makes me articulate my ideas of a design clearly. Like Trochut, I always try to convey a message through a mixture of geometric shapes and visual elements to produce an ambiguous and duality in my design work. Along with my passion for graphic and web design, I have always been open to exploring new things around me, such as 3D printing, visual animations, and font design, to expand my set of skills. I always strive to form objects and designs that are eye-catching for the viewers and for them to explore further.
